Place both halves of the frozen banana into blender Pour a cup of almond breeze into the blender Peel the oranges, split into a few pieces, and place in your blender One medium frozen banana (see my post on frozen bananas for instructions on how to freeze them) One cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk Here is the recipe for my low calorie "Orange Julius" Smoothie. The smoothie turned out *totally* delicious, I think in large part to the delicious sweet taste of the Cuties oranges. Intrigued by the natural sweetness of the little oranges, I decided to see if I could create a low calorie orange julius-like drink using them (I loved orange julius growing up!).

The little Cutie orange unpeeled in like 2 seconds, had no seeds, and it was so sweet and so good that I ended up having two! They really are a perfect quick snack for satisfying a sweet craving!

My first experience with the Cuties oranges came after I arrived home starving from the gym one night, at which point I decided to eat one instead of grabbing something less healthy. In case you've never had one (I hadn't), a Cutie is a type of orange called a clementine that is a cross between a sweet orange and a Chinese mandarin. The fabulous people at Cuties were kind enough to send me a five pound bag of their very adorable little mandarin oranges to try.
